【代公告】學術研習營 “Southern Taiwan Social Sciences Research School”

由中山社科院經費支持、國際知名出版社Brill所出版的期刊Innovation in the Social Sciences將於今年7月21-22日（五、六）舉辦兩天的學術研習營 “Southern Taiwan Social Sciences Research School”。

活動名稱：Southern Taiwan Social Sciences Research School：研究、出版經驗分享與傳承

活動宗旨及特色：
本次Southern Taiwan Social Sciences Research School將邀請四位國際出版經驗豐富的社會科學學者：陳至潔、趙恩潔、萬毓澤、方志恒。他們將分享各自在其研究領域（政治學、人類學、社會學等，涵蓋量化、質化、理論思想等不同研究取徑）的投稿與出版經驗，並為參與者提供指導。

活動特色及福利：

1. 為期兩天。第一天為演講及交流，第二天則由參與者發表論文。
2. 高雄以外縣市的參與者將獲得國內交通及住宿的補助。
3. 活動結束後，參與者的論文將有機會刊登於國際期刊Innovation in the Social Sciences（需通過審查流程）。
4. 參與者會有與南台灣的資深社會科學家、不同學科背景的博士生、博士後研究員、新進學者交流的機會。
5. 活動結束後將獲得出席證書。

注意事項：

1. 參與者需自行負擔高雄當地交通費用、旅遊和醫療保險、日常花費等費用。
2. 參與者需於活動第二天發表人文社會科學方面的論文，契合Innovation in the Social Sciences期刊主旨者優先錄取。
3. 請在2023年5月15日前完成申請表填寫，並將申請表寄至中山大學社會科學院承辦人：ywchu@g-mail.nsysu.edu.tw。獲錄取者將於2023年5月底收到通知，並需於2023年6月30日前提交「論文摘要」和「簡報投影片」（完整論文應於2023年8月31日前投稿至Innovation in the Social Sciences網站進行正式審查）。

本活動的使用語言以中文為主，英文為輔。不要錯過這個提升研究能力並與知名學者交流的機會！

簡介：蔡英文總統出訪中美洲友邦，並過境美國會見眾議院議長麥卡錫，強調此趟行程為「民主夥伴共榮之旅」，但遭受中共激烈反彈，並於近日開始在臺海周遭進行軍事演習；在此同時，前總統馬英九前往中國，除祭祖外，也與中國國台辦主任宋濤會面，強調此趟行程為「擦亮中華民國招牌」和「堅定捍衛國家主權」，但國內亦有批評聲浪。對於兩人出訪行程所帶來之各項後續效應，相當值得深入探討。為此，政大國際關係研究中心將邀請專家學者針對兩人此趟出訪後續將為臺灣外交、軍事、選舉、兩岸、國際法方面帶來何種影響，進行深入剖析。

【代公告】第五屆PIPC（Pacific International Politics Conference (PIPC) ）徵稿啟事

The 2023 PIPC deadline Is EXTENDED (March 15)

Dear Colleagues,

It’s our pleasure to announce the fifth Pacific International Politics Conference (PIPC) has been scheduled for Singapore, 7-8 July 2023.

Paper and poster proposals are now being accepted. Proposals addressing any aspect of international politics are welcome. Papers focused on the improvement of social science theory as it relates to international relations are encouraged, particularly but not exclusively quantitative research. Especially encouraged are papers dealing with international politics in the Asia-Pacific region, and/or by researchers based in the region. The deadline for submission is extended to Wednesday, 15 March 2023 (PST).

The Department of Political Science, National University of Singapore, will host the conference.

PIPC enforces a limit of one proposal per author. Authors may submit a proposal to present a single-authored paper and also appear as the non-presenting author on a second paper. However, authors are limited to appear a maximum of two appearances on the program.

We strongly encourage graduate students to apply for poster presentations. We assign discussants for each presentation. We also display the poster during the conference such that audiences can discuss the posters easily.
